Winners of the 2008 Healthcare and Aging Awards include four Archstone Foundation Grantees
Recognizing Innovation and Quality

The Healthcare and Aging Network of the American Society on Aging, in collaboration with Pfizer Medical Humanities Initiative, annually recognizes outstanding programs and services in healthcare and aging.  These awards were given to organizations that demonstrated high-quality, innovative programs that enhance health-related quality of life in older adults.  The 2008 winners that are current Archstone Foundation grantees, include:

·        Alzheimer's Association, California Southland
(Early Stage Memory Loss Project)

 

·        Los Angles County + USC Healthcare Network
(Palliative Care Consult Service)

 

·        UCLA School of Dentistry
(Preparing Dental Professionals to Identify and Respond to Elder Abuse and Neglect)

 

·        Southern California Cancer Pain Initiative
(Promoting Excellence in Pain Management and Palliative Care for Social Workers)
